The short version
We store what the app needs to work and nothing else. We never sell your data and we never use it for advertising. Your firm owns its survey data and can export all of it at any time. Questions go to hello@geogearsupply.com.
What we collect
- Account data. Your name, email address, and firm name. Stored with Supabase in Postgres, hosted in the US-East region.
- Job data. Jobs, annotations, structured attributes, cut sheets, and share-link records. Stored with Supabase.
- Photos. Site photos are compressed on your device and stored in Cloudflare R2.
We do not collect your browsing history, your contacts, or anything outside what you put into the app.
Local-first by design
GeoGear Field stores data on your iPad first. Annotations and photos live in a local database on the device and sync to our servers when you have signal. Until you connect, the data exists only on your device.
Photos and location metadata
Photos taken in the app are stamped with location and compass bearing on purpose. That is the point of the product. Assume every photo in a job records where it was taken and which way the camera was facing.
Share links
Share links are tokenized URLs that require no login. Anyone with the link can view that job, including its notes and photos. Treat a share link like a key and send it only to people who should see the job.
What we never do
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use your survey data to market anything to anyone. Your jobs are your business, literally.
Your data is yours
Your firm owns its survey data. You can export everything at any time, including GeoJSON, CSV, DXF, and your original photos. There is no export fee and no lock-in by design.
Deletion
Email hello@geogearsupply.comfrom your account address and we will delete your account and your firm’s data. We confirm when it is done.
Cookies
We use cookies for authentication only. There are no ad trackers, no third-party analytics cookies, and no fingerprinting.
Basemap tiles
The aerial and map backgrounds come from third-party tile providers, including Esri, USGS, and OpenStreetMap. When the app loads tiles, those providers see standard tile requests, which include your IP address and the map area being viewed. We send them nothing else.

- Vercel for application hosting
- PowerSync for sync between your device and the database
Security and changes
Report security concerns to hello@geogearsupply.com. If the stack changes, we will update this page and change the date at the top. No silent edits.
